Thought I'd share some photos from the making of Perks. They were taken on a disposable camera during the graduation sequence with the intention to use them for production design but now they serve as tokens from a very special. High school is better when you march to the beat of your own mixtape.
All that being said i thought it was really great, i was a little surprised that Hollywood let the author of the original text write his screenplay and on top of I think if Ezra keeps on doing work as good as this and We Need to Talk About Kevin and The Perks of Being a Wallflower he will have a very bright. Patrick is catty and bitchy, but his inner life is a mystery. The theme of child abuse lingers and is there to underline the overwhelming importance of all that is happening - common or garden-variety unabused loneliness is, of course, nowhere near dramatic enough - but the drama fails to absorb this.
