The story follows the misadventures of Chaplin's Tramp as he falls in love with a blind girl, who through a series of coincidences has gotten the impression that the shabby Tramp is. This is a novel and clever film which mixes a very good plot, good acting with a unique idea of adding grime songs within the scenes to explain the story. The film is raw and shocking but I think still probably shy's away from the real brutal truth of life on the streets in.
